The director, animated by a dragging will, must know how to organize, project and to plan, must impose in a smart way to the others its vision of the things and at the same time he must amalgamate all the professionalism in order to create a perfect balance of technical and artistic and finally he has to know to instil enthusiasm. In order to reach this, basically you have to work a lot and you need a total knowledge of technical expressive means. The course intends to advice the students to the cinematographic direction placing them to the inside of the creative process through a theorist-practical way finishing with the realization of an individual short film passing gradually through the several phases which are coming from the imaginations of the subjects and by drawing up of the scenario for the locations, chosen by the actors, working on the set, cutting and final edition.
The spirit of the school is the creative laboratory where you work together in order to yield the talents of each of the students and to be constructively confronted. During the year the students will be able to assist as auditors of the lessons of the others courses in order to favour a dialogue between the several sections. On the one hand the students of direction and those of scenery will carry out together a job bounded the dramaturgic aspect that will make them establishing on the paper the relative thematic and problematic of the plot and the narration. On the other hand it will be opened a collaboration with the recitation students which will be the future interpreters of the short films.
During the year they will be host by the school directors, actors and scriptwriters who will speak with the students about specific aspects of their professional experience.
THEY ARE PLANED:
November-January: two meetings a week of theory of two hours and a half each.
February-May: two meetings a week of practice and theory of two hours and a half each with use of professional equipments (cameras and cutting board).
June-July: realization of the individual short films.
September-October: cutting of the short films individually realized.
